Dr. Kara Werner serves each individual uniquely by weaving together a combination of light force and gentle structural adjustments, as well as muscle release therapy, yoga therapeutic exercises, and lifestyle awareness practices. She embraces all people wherever they are in their process of healing, while gently guiding them to trust the wisdom and potential of their bodies.
After completing her undergraduate studies in science, Dr. Kara graduated in 2003 with cum laude honors from Palmer West College of Chiropractic in San Jose, California. Dr. Kara served the Bay Area for 7 years, where she founded Monarch Chiropractic and Integrative Health Center. She has advanced her training as a Chiropractor with numerous seminars and specific certifications in Active Release Technique, Webster Technique, and Bio Geometric Integration.
Dr. Werner began her career focusing in sports therapy which has allowed her to serve a wide variety of individuals ranging from elite Ironman athletes to weekend warriors. Additionally, she loves to work with pregnant mamas and furthered her interest by continuing her studies through the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) . She was the original Chiropractor in the Bay Area's collective of elite women practitioners known as Mamas Resource Network.
In 2010, Dr. Kara moved to Portland and became a mother of two home-birthed babies. Now that her youngest is off to school, she is excited to be practicing again, this time serving the people of Portland. In her time outside the office, Dr. Werner enjoys cooking healthy meals for her family, connecting with nature through hiking, biking, and camping and, when she can, traveling to far away lands!Active Release Technique TrainedWebster Technique CertifiedBio Geometric Integration Certified
